Hello friends. This post is more on the serious side and it's going to be a little difficult for me to publish. I feel like it's kind of exposing a little closet I would like to keep the door shut on but I hope what I have to say will help someone else.
To be honest the past three weeks has been a little discouraging for me, but I'm not going to write a sob story and complain about how I've been discouraged. Instead, I'm going to tell you about how I am overcoming my discouragement.
Truth be told, my discouragement is about if I should keep posting blogs. I know right, so soon? But I am very nervous about doing things I'm not sure will work. I'm afraid of failure. I've got dreams and plans but sometimes I have doubts that I'm not good or smart enough to achieve my goals. If you are like me when you get overwhelmed you probably think, 'Maybe one day I'll wake up and everything will be completely different.'
REALITY: That's never going to happen, so don't trouble yourself about being a failure. Success doesn't come without trying. Start right now and purpose in your mind, heart, soul and everything within you that you will quit with the negative self-talk. I am practicing this myself.
I'm new at the whole blogging thing so I don't do everything right. I hold high expectations for myself. I judge myself. I grab an elephant and try to stuff it in my mouth all at once instead of eating it one bite at a time. If you find yourself like this about anything in your life, you might just might need to take a minute to pray and give it to God. Ask Him to help you determine to be a positive thinker. It's not going to happen over night though! You have to practice.
Another thing that is very simple but I find helps me a lot is reading positive quotes or scriptures. Sometimes I'll just hop on Pinterest and just pin some that really encourage me. Might seem kinda silly but it definitely helps!
Well, I hope this encourages you or if you know someone like me I hope you help them.
Until next time...

Thanks Kelly! I really appreciate your encouragement and advise!
I'm a fellow blogger and I want to encourage you to not give up! Your stories will be an encouragement to someone who needs to read what you have written. Take joy in expressing yourself and write about the things you know. Keep a journal of ideas you want to write about and setup a publication schedule, maybe every other week. Interview people. Write reviews. You can do it!
